All You Need is One Person

All You Need is One Person to Believe in You

“The officer that arrested me, you know, he sat down and talked to me like a human. The first time I’d been treated like a human in years and, you know, the other officer that was in there was saying ‘don’t talk to her she’s a junkie she’s a nobody look at her, like, she’ll never go anywhere.’

I mean, like, he pushed the other officer out of the room and it was the first time I was able to tell my story. That’s the first time I was able to feel like a human again.

They say all you need is one person to believe in you and help you in your recovery and, like, for me that was the first of many along the way on my journey. And you know, that person just caring for that one second gave me enough hope to get through.”
