Second Summer Cycle is the perfect event for riders of all levels — it’s a ride, not a race — meaning everyone can enjoy the day and finish at their own comfortable pace. Participants can choose from a variety of distance options while taking in a picturesque journey through eight historic Cape Cod towns, all supported by a strong commitment to rider safety along the route.

The ride begins and ends at beautiful Smugglers Beach in South Yarmouth, where cyclists are welcomed back for a lively Finish Line Celebration from 12–4 PM featuring local beverages, food trucks, and live music.

Ride with BHI

Whether you’re an experienced cyclist or simply looking for a meaningful challenge, riding with Team BHI is a powerful way to support youth mental health and recovery. Each rider commits to raising a minimum of $250, turning every mile into direct impact for young people and families served by BHI.

Join the BHI team and feel supported every step (and mile!) of the way:

N
Training rides on Cape Cod to help you prepare for the distance you choose (15, 30, 60, or 100 miles), led by BHI Cycle Captain Karen Doucette
N
Guidance setting up your personal fundraising page — making it easy to reach (and exceed!) your $250 minimum
N
Rider safety tips and a chance to ride the course together ahead of event day
N
An official SSC cycling jersey for all BHI Team riders

We’re here to make the experience fun, safe, and meaningful — you bring the heart and commitment, raise $250 for youth mental health, and we’ll support you all the way to the finish line!

Support a BHI Rider

You can also make a difference by donating to friends, family, or community members already registered for the BHI Cycling Team to help them reach their goal!

Every dollar raised helps expand BHI’s prevention, early intervention, and recovery programs for Cape Cod youth and young adults.

Funds raised through Second Summer Cycle directly support BHI’s continuum of care — empowering young people facing substance use and mental health challenges to build resilience, connection, and hope.

Thank you for helping BHI ride toward healthier futures for our Cape Cod youth!

Volunteer Opportunities

Not a rider? You can still be part of the energy and impact!

Volunteers help with rider support, event logistics, and creating a fun, encouraging atmosphere throughout the day.

Help us spread the word about our Second Summer Cycle Jersey Sponsorship Program.

What is the Jersey Sponsorship Program?

We are inviting local businesses and individuals to sponsor BHI’s official ride jerseys at a suggested contribution level of $100–$250. In return, sponsors will have their name and/or logo featured directly on the jerseys worn by every BHI rider throughout the event.

This is a meaningful opportunity for local businesses and community members for several reasons:

  • Lasting visibility: unlike a one-day event program or signage, a jersey lives on long after the ride. Riders wear their jerseys on training rides, at events, in photos, and throughout their communities for years to come.
  • Authentic community association: being featured on the BHI Second Summer Cycle jersey aligns sponsors with a cause that is making a real difference on Cape Cod, and connects them to a community of passionate, health-minded riders.
  • Photo and content exposure: every photo taken at the ride, shared on social media, and posted across our channels will feature the sponsor names and logos prominently on our riders.
  • Accessible giving: at $100–$250, this sponsorship is designed to be accessible for small businesses, local shops, individuals, and community members who want to show their support in a visible and lasting way.

How Can You Help?

We are asking each of our riders to think about the businesses you frequent, the people in your network, and the community members who might want to be a part of this. Whether it is your local coffee shop, a friend who owns a small business, a colleague, or simply someone who cares about the work BHI does, we would love your help making the ask.

We are aiming to have all jersey sponsorships confirmed by the end of June, so we have approximately two months to pull this together as a community. Every name on that jersey is a reminder of how many people are behind this mission.
