Thank you for attending Real Talk!
Sometimes in order to truly understand another person’s struggles we have to immerse ourselves in their experience.
Real Talk: “Lift the Mask- Portraits of Life with Mental Illness” offered just that opportunity for all of us who viewed the film on October 10.
Thank you for the time you committed to learn from the storytellers, an incredibly courageous group of young adults, parents and family members.
The movie highlights the urgent need for programs such as those BHI launched across Cape Cod:
- RAMP® Peer Heroes survey and videos
- Positive Alternatives for Student Supports (PASS) a brief intervention and referral to services for high school and middle school students who struggle with mental health and/or substance use challenge
- Alternative Peer Group (APG) Program- a 6-month treatment program after school in Dennis and Falmouth for youth 13-17 with a history of substance use
Please – Start A Conversation to bring mental health and substance use issues facing our young people out from the shadows. We are committed to being a stand for them and sincerely thank you for standing with us.

BHI, Inc.
A beautiful moment from our Real Talk Event last week! Our co-founder and CEO, Stephanie J. Briody, was joined by Molly O’Neil, a passionate advocate and parent of two college students whose father sadly took his own life, and Emily Abbott, Quell’s Development Director and one of the first recipients of a Quell scholarship in the mental health field.
Together, we’re breaking the stigma and fostering understanding in our communities.
